Acne Scars

Acne is a very pervasive problem, so it’s no surprise that at our MedSpa we see a lot of acne patients. However, many of these patients don’t realize that with the right treatment, it is possible to get rid of acne once and for all and regain beautiful skin.

At Fountain of Youth Med Spa, we can take you from acne-blemished skin to clear skin in 6 to 12 months. If acne is not treated before that 12 month period, then the irregular pigmentation and texture become permanent, eventually turning into acne scars.

Treatments for Acne Scars
There are a range of medical dermatology treatments that can be used to control acne, but acne scars are another matter. These can be treated using cosmetic lasers such as RevLite® and Fraxel®. Both these skin resurfacing lasers gently exfoliate the skin, and penetrate the dermal layer where most of the acne scarring is located.

Injectable fillers such as Juvederm and Radiesse also produce fairly good results when used on acne scars. We also have our Fountain of Youth Med Spa acne treatments such as Endymed FSR, chemical peels, IPL therapy and microdermabrasion, which can be used to reduce acne scars.
